The Callaway Tour ix has two cores as a part of its four part design. This creates a ball which will optimize an experienced player's distance game. Improvements in the HEX Aerodynamics surface dimples increase the stability of the ball even in windy conditions. The softness of the inner core gives golfers the soft feel they seek. The tougher outer core made of tungsten in a tightly wound bundle pulls some of the weight from the inner core. This lowers the amount of spin the ball undergoes off of driver shots.
The Callaway Tour ix performs very well for short games, too. This ball's soft urethane covering is ideal for those who are looking for more spin off of short shots and control on the green. Like many other urethane covered balls, the Callaway Tour ix tend to wear relatively quicker than others, but the level of acceptable wear varies among golfers, and some do not see the lower durability of these balls to be a problem.
Experienced golfers looking for a ball to maximize their distance game while maintaining control on short shots and the green. The stability of the Callaway Tour ix balls is exceptional in adverse conditions, and any golfer would benefit from the high caliber of performance in these distance tour balls.
